Question by IGSB: Need a partner for Online Tutoring in the UK …. How can I proceed, please?
Hello all,

I am based in South- Asia. I have recently started my own online tutoring service providing one-to-one, live, online tuition for UK based professional accountancy students. Online tutoring is performed by voice communication (via Skype etc) and by using a shared electronic white-board software where both the tutor and the student can write, draw, share visual aids, browse multimedia content etc in a shared computer screen. We have successfully coached a number of UK based students for their exams. So far, we have only had online presence, as we did DOT have any professional / firm in the UK physically representing us.

Virtual Circuit Board Software?

I used to have a software where you could virtually create an electronic circuit and test it. I am drawing a blank and cannot think of the name. Anyone remember / use the software ?? What was it called ?? Is there something similar ??

Learning to play on electronic drum set- good or bad idea?

Something along the lines of Roland HD-1. I figured it would save me some space and my neighbors wouldn’t hate me as much. I’m wondering if it would be counter-productive to learn on an electronic as opposed to a real set. Seems like they would have a totally different feel.

Looking for an exclusive or electronic component?

I am installing a backup camera into my car the license plate light is blinding the camera at night time making it useless. I can’t figure out the name of the electronic component i need. There are two inputs and one output. A is the reverse light volt. (just used for signal). B is the license plate light. C is the output of the circuit.Normally A is off (when moving forward) so only B is detected and there is an output from C. When voltage is detected on input A, the circuit should cut power to output C.

-Thanks

How long do you keep boxes of electronics?

I’ve accumulated a lot of “specialty” boxes for all the electronics in my life. I’ve got mp3, gps, computer, cell phone, components, and wireless device boxes for all the electronics I have and I generally try and keep them. I’m about to move and I’d like to get rid of them but I worry I may need them to send in or something like that. Any thoughts?
