question:

Electives such as electronics, automative and horticulture should be equally accessible to male and female students. However, it is noticable that large numbers of girls have less interest in these subjects. girls are narrowing gender gap in science and math, but not in technology.

we are required to adress the genderissue in technology education.you need to discuss the following:

1)what evidence is there that a technology gender gap and gender bias exist?

2) why are girls in there adolescent years losing interest in technology?

3)what are the differnce and similarities between how males and females perceive and use technology?

4)what technologies are out there?for whom are they intended?

5)is engineering and technology a subject for both genders?

6)what roles to parents, educators, and manufactures have in encouraging technology use along females?
